Why technology searches?

If a new, hitherto unknown field of technology is being contemplated, a technology search is a frequently chosen starting point. For us, a technology search is the first step in building up an extensive knowhow on the situation with regards to property rights in a new technical field. Later, we usually employ monitoring of the competition and, in the case of a finished product, an FTO analysis, to build on this knowledge. The technology search also allows appropriate subject areas for new inventions to be identified at an early stage.
