Our offices
Our offices are located in the metropolitan areas of Düsseldorf, Munich and - since 2022 - in Dresden. From these three locations, the patent attorneys of karo IP advise their clients in all IP-related proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the European Patent Office (EPA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as well as before the Federal Patent Court, the patent litigation chambers of the regional and higher regional courts and the Federal Supreme Court (BGH).
Dresden - the new karo IP location in the Saxon state capital
Dresden is regarded as an important technology and business location in Germany and Europe. Renowned educational and research institutions, such as the Technical University of Dresden, the University of Applied Sciences (HTW Dresden), the United Nations University, a large number of institutes of the Fraunhofer and Max Planck Society, the Leibniz Association as well as world-leading companies are engaged in innovations and economically important technologies, especially in the fields of nanotechnology, microelectronics industry, biotechnology and information technology.
The firm represents clients from the region and throughout eastern and central Germany in German and European patent law.
At the Dresden office, the karo IP team deals with inventions primarily in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering, automotive engineering, biotechnology and information technology.

With the opening of the Dresden office, the patent law firm pursues the goal of further successfully expanding its contacts to small and medium-sized enterprises, startups and R&D institutions in the region.
Our office is located in the heart of the "Innere Neustadt", a popular historic residential and business district. The patent attorneys will use the central location as well as the good connections to cities such as Berlin, Leipzig and Chemnitz to support innovative companies located there in the field of patent and trademark law.
The patent attorneys from the Düsseldorf and Munich offices will also use the office at the Dreikönigskirche for meetings with clients and in the context of cooperation with fellow attorneys and technical experts.
karo IP uses the office together with the law firm CADMUS Partnerschaftsgesellschaft. The aim is to use professional synergies and to advise clients in more complex cases that also involve adjacent areas of law.
