M.Sc. (RWTH), Patent Attorney
Leonard Lotz advises German and international clients in particular in the fields of mechanical engineering and automotive engineering. He has experience in national and international patent prosecution and infringement procedures. Furthermore, he advises our clients in the fields of trademarks, designs and German employee invention law. In 2018 he qualified as German Patent Attorney and in 2019 as European Patent Attorney.
He studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen Technical University, specializing in aerospace technology. Prior to his university studies, Mr. Lotz acquired some hands-on experience working for a large European aerospace company in Munich and a shipyard specializing in cruise liners in Northern Germany.
In addition, Mr. Lotz gathered some work experience in the jewelry industry where he gained extensive experience in the design and production of jewelry. Starting in 2020 he has been lecturing on the protection of intellectual property rights at RWTH Aachen University.
Drawing up patent application documents and being involved in patent-granting procedures in Germany and abroad, cooperating in patent infringement proceedings; drawing up trademark and German design law applications; attending to and advising clients in the field of employee invention law.
