Tobias Stelzer advises companies in the fields of mechanical engineering, automotivetechnology, lightweight construction as well as building technology, in patent prosecution procedures as well as opposition and patent nullity proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court.
He studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in applied mechanics at the Technical University of Dresden. He has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2005 and was admitted to practice as a patent attorney in 2010. He regularly conducts seminars at the HTW-Dresden on intellectual property law.
Main focus
Advising German and international clients in all fields that involve the protection of industrial property rights, in particular with regard to the preparation of patent applications, patent prosecution in Germany, advising foreign patent prosecution procedures, expert opinions on validity and infringement of industrial property rights, preparing and conducting opposition procedures against German patents, preparing and conducting nullity procedures, consulting in the development of IP strategies, advising clients in obtaining and enforcing trademarks and design rights.
